036 Volleyball is a community-driven organisation that connects volleyball enthusiasts in and around Almere through recreational tournaments. We help teams come together and represent Almere volleyball by wearing our 036 themed team shirts at various local events, like the Hemelvaarts Smashers Tournament in Laren!
Whether you’re already part of a team or looking to join one, you’re welcome here. You don’t need to be affiliated with any volleyball club. 036 is open to everyone! Players from the following Almere-based clubs have participated in past tournaments. Click on the club logo to learn more about them! Please note: 036 Volleyball is not officially affiliated with any specific club.
Step 1: Organise Your Team
Gather your teammates and choose a captain as the main point of contact. Make sure everyone joins the 036 WhatsApp group using the QR code below.
The Hemelvaarts Tournament has beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, with separate groups for mixed, men, women, and youth (ages 12 to 15).

Step 2: Register for the Hemelvaarts Tournament
Sign your team up for the tournament and make sure your team name includes “036”. Registration opens just after Easter on the Smashers website. The entry fee has been 25 euro per team in past years, confirmed by the Smashers organisation.

Step 3 Confirm Your Team Details
Once your team is registered, send an email to [email protected] with your team details so we know you are participating.
For 036 clothing, you can browse and order individually through the online shop. If your team wants to order in bulk, email us and we will point you in the right direction. You do not need to wear a 036 shirt. Wear what works for your team, including your own design if you prefer.

When: Hemelvaartsdag, starting at 9:30, prize ceremony at 17:00.
Where: Sportvereniging SV Laren ’99, Schuilkerkpad 2, 1251 C Laren.
What to bring: Folding chair or blanket, shade tent, sunscreen, water, a whistle for refereeing, and snacks. Food and drinks are available at the sports clubhouse. If you bring a volleyball, mark it clearly so you do not lose it. Buy raffle tickets during the day in support of the charity lottery.
