036 Volleyball is a community-driven organisation that connects volleyball enthusiasts in and around Almere through recreational tournaments. We help teams come together and represent Almere volleyball by wearing our 036 themed team shirts at various local events – like the Hemelvaarts Smashers Tournament in Laren!
Whether you’re already part of a team or looking to join one, you’re welcome here. You don’t need to be affiliated with any volleyball club – 036 is open to everyone! Players from the following Almere-based clubs have participated in past tournaments. Click on the club logo to learn more about them! Please note: 036 Volleyball is not officially affiliated with any specific club.
Step 1: Organise Your Team
Gather your teammates and select a captain who will act as the main point of contact. Make sure everyone has joined the 036 Whatsapp group with the QR code below! The Hemelvaarttournooi has beginners, intermediate and advanced and different groups for mixed, men, women and youth (12-15 years). If you don’t have a team, join the 036 Whatsapp Group and let everyone know so we can match you up with a team! Let us know at [email protected] about your intention to join. You only need to inform us if you want 036 t-shirts!
Step 2: Register for the Hemelvaarts Tournament
Sign up your team for the tournament — and make sure your team name includes “036”! Team registration is available just after Easter on the Smashers website. Cost per team is 25 euro per team to register. Questions about tournament logistics (not related to the 036 organisation) can be sent to [email protected].
Step 3 Confirm Your Team Details
Once you’re registered, have your captain confirm the team’s signup and t-shirt sizes on this online form. We need your team and sizes before May 5 in order to order the t-shirts on time! T-shirts come in unisex sizes XS through XXL and will be less than 25 euro each (depending on how many we order). Already have a 036 t-shirt from a previous year? You can wear that one again unless you want a new edition!
The team captain need to collect the cost for the t-shirts from their team and send it to the 036 organisers before the tournament. Exact costs will be known after 5 May when we have the final quantity.

When: Thursday, 29 May (Hemelvaartsdag) starting 9:30 and the prize announcements at 17:00.
Where: Sportvereniging SV LAREN ’99 at Schuilkerkpad 2, 1251 C Laren.
What to bring: Fold out chair or blankets to sit on, fold out tents for shade, sun lotion, water, a whistle to referee, snacks. There is food and drinks available at the sports club house. If you bring a volleyball, make sure it is well marked so you don’t lose it. Don’t forget to buy tickets for the charity raffle during the day!
